The Association for Heritage Interpretation (AHI) is the professional body for people and organisations across Britain, Ireland, and beyond who engage audiences with natural and cultural heritage.
Eric Langham, a Fellow of AHI, has served as a board member for over five years and was previously the commissioning editor of the AHI journal. He played a key role in directing Interpretation Gold, a major project celebrating 50 years of AHI while looking ahead to the future of interpretation. The project focused on digitising core resources and developing new best-practice guidance for practitioners.
Eric led the creation of a best-practice guide on sustainable and regenerative exhibitions, exploring how exhibitions can be greener, more socially responsible, and better equipped to address funding challenges and inequality within the profession.
Working closely with AHI is central to BLF, enabling collaboration with curators, designers, and interpreters across the sector. BLF has also provided bursaries at recent AHI conferences, supporting practitioners who would otherwise be unable to attend.
